Prime 2
Prime numbers are unique. Divisible by only themselves and the number one, they are numerical basic building blocks. At the small scale they seem to appear randomly amongst the distribution of natural numbers, but on the large scale there are hints of patterns not yet fully understood. This piece is inspired by the first and only even prime, the number two. It touches on themes of duality and identity, and the integration of art and science.
